Never Go Against the Family.....

Everybody, this is B-

AKA Bronwyn Starlight

She married my brother Matt last October. We all love her, and Scout thinks the sun rises and sets around her. She is a happy loving soul and wants everyone to be happy. We taught her to play Risk and she hated it because it went against her very grain to fight and create war, she would rather give us all a daisy then attack our imaginary countries and territories. She loves Enchanted, Journey sans the music videos, kids, and rubber duckies. She hates the color purple, raspberries, and Neil Young. Neil Young? EEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR............... *car screeching noise*

We know about the other ones, but this little nugget was something that our dear brother Matt kept under wraps for as long as he could. I can imagine his anxiety every time we were all
together, praying that the subject of Neil never comes up. Well, all his effort went down the tubes when I made that blog list of the 15 albums. If you have read the comments, you will have seen what has been going on. My sisters and I are, well, we love him. We love him so much. In the words of my sister Sue, "it tore a little piece of my soul when I read that". B told Matt what she wrote because Matt has told her that they may have to get a divorce if she doesn't get over it, not for him, for his sisters. Anyway, I got a text from Matt a few days later and told me that he is relieved that the cat is finally out of the bag.
World War III didn't happen
(to his relief, I'm sure). But he couldn't expect us to take such talk lying down, now could he???

On Saturday, B got a little package in the mail. A small box, with no return address. Inside, was this:

Accompanied by a note:

Yes, it's a severed rubber ducky head. (Scout found the decapitated body later and told me that her rubber ducky got broken and that she thinks a monster did it. I supposed she is right in a way. Out of pure mommy guilt I have bought her 6 new rubber duckies since. She still likes to play with the headless one too.) Sue did the note. Cath isn't innocent in this little ordeal either, she was right along with us through the whole thing.

Oh B, I hope you know what you got into when you married into this family...................................

I laughed REALLY hard when Dad showed this to me. You should definitely show it to Cath, and I'll send it to Sue as well. It's so appropriate it hurts!!!

Haha! Jason Bond seems like my kind of guy. Trap door spiders are cute.

How in the world did my dad find that?

CUUUUTTTTEEEEE???????????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Spiders are WORSE than Neil Young, not cute!!!!!!!!!! I'm so bummed you didn't find that awful.

I have no idea how Dad found that. He truly is Father of Mysteries. He just walked in and handed it to me and said something like "This should add to your fun" and left.

B the anti-Neil Young

Well gee, I'm sorry (hee-hee). I find worms a lot more awful then spiders, too bad it wasn't a neil young tape worm or something. Have you ever seen trap door spiders? They have little doors in the ground and they open and close them with their little arms.

ok....so I just want you guys to know that those spiders are about the sickest things I have ever seen. I had never seen one so I looked them up on youtube and I about fell out of my chair. SICK!!! They are about as far from cute as roadkill or something non-cute like that. Look it up, it's nasty. I feel like there are spiders crawling all over me now! Yuck......

Yeah, I just saw them on you tube and ugg they were huge and fast. The ones I saw on some nature channel were cute and little and held their little doors open with their arms.
I still think it is a nice tribute. Or meant as a tribute. No, it's a nice tribute.

B are you going to start your own blog? You said you might after finals.

Ahem. It's after finals.

I should... but I just started a new job! I'm a bank intern, full time, in Lander, which is 30 minutes away, and I'm so paranoid that I'm going to miss my alarm, that I haven't slept for 2 days. But I need to do something for the next 2 hours while I'm stranded at mom and dads, so... stay tuned.
Love B.
P.S. I just found the best picture ever of Neil Young, it is on your MySpace.

My life seems so boring when I read your blog. I love your new haircut, too.

Cat did more than just support us, she helped cut out the letters from the magazines. I just thought I would mention that because I know Cat never would. She is too good to leave comments on blogs. She really hates people like us who do.

I was reading what you said about B, and you said she loves Enchanted. What is that? A perfume, or a book or something?

Ah, I did not know that. I did however know that people who comment on blogs and have myspaces are total losers.

Enchanted is a movie that came out within this last year that involves a fairy tale princess in modern day New York and Patrick Dempsey. Matt got me to watch the first 45 minutes or so until I fell asleep (it was after 3 am to my credit). He said that the movie helped him understand B better. B would give a better explanation of the movie. Hint hint B.

The movie is about a totally innocent young woman who gets thrust from her cartoon fairytale into the harsh realities of New York and the 50% divorce rate (me into high school). She is rescued by a divorce lawyer of all things, who has a little girl who really wants to still believe in fairy tails. The princess (who makes herself a new dress every day out of different curtains, rugs etc, my favorite part) is betrothed to a prince who she only met once, and is very optimistic and happy, despite the harsh circumstances she is faced with (death by poison apple, a dragon, a true love who she isn't actually engaged to, etc). It's a fantastic movie, you have to watch the whole thing, but don't start it at 3, unless that's pm. If you want some endorsement, Scott actually cried during the movie (DON'T tell him I told you that). So check it out, it's magnificent.

Love B. (It's more fun to be anonymous)

P.P.S. I fully intend on making each and every one of you a daisy chain necklace the next time you are up here and want to play Risk. I may even make your little men some too. Daisy necklaces make it impossible to fight.
