Update on the babes

I had a doctor's appointment today and we heard a strong little heatbeat. The doctor actually said, "that is music to my ears". I guess he is as nervous about this pregnancy as we are. It took a while to find it, so I think he was relieved to hear it, I think he was about to break out the ultrasound. Rob and I were talking about it while walking to the car, how nerve wracking it is these days while waiting for that sound. Once upon a time it wasn't, but well -you all know. I am feeling great these days, a few days ago I was having the worst week of my pregnancy with the ickiness, but I reinstated the practice I did with Scout's where you take half a unisom and a B-6 at bedtime and another B-6 in the morning and ever since I have felt really good. I am a firm believer in that little tonic, it doesn't work for everyone, but I think it really does something for me.
If you noticed, I changed my little pregnancy ticker to a less creepy one (I hope!) and while doing, decided I might as well change my duedate to what my doctor told me at the last appointment, which is 10 days later then expected, so I am officially at 9/19. I am realizing right now that I didn't share my ultrasound after the fact. So, I had one a month ago and there was a baby and it had a heartbeat. Notice I said "A baby" not two babies (cue me wiping the sweat off my brow). Anyway, the baby measured 10 days smaller then projected so my date got changed. I did not want to accept that for a long time, so I tried to ignore it, but I might as well resign myself now with the less cool due date and kiss 9-9-09 goodbye.
So anyway, in two appointments I will be having another ultrasound and hopefully finding out if we will be having a little George or a (we don't know what the heck we would call) another little girl. According to Nancy Drew, girls can be named George too, but I'm not sold on doing that myself. Oh and if you're keeping track, I have gained 5 pounds to date, but it feels like a lot more as I am having trouble fitting into pants.

I think that it should be against the law to move the due date back even one day! When I was pregnant with my son they moved my due date back 2 weeks!! He came a week and a half 'early' and was obvously over due, he had that lovely miconum all over him!

I am glad that all is going well, I know how stressful it is waiting to hear that sound! I am glad that tonic works well for you, I always did the B6 morning and night and that always did a great job too!

Waytogo, Ems! A heart beat, single snoogie and all. I am so happy and proud of you. What is B6? a vitimin? I got Sue a birthday card last night with a cow on it. I should have saved it for you. hehehehe. Love Pops My word verification is WAYLOST. Sounds about wright!

Ug, Scout had the miconium too (she was 5 days late. My water broke at home too, it was nasty. I have a feeling I am encountering the same problem, one of the reasons I was hesitant to move my date back. I figured that the doctors are probably not going to ever change it, so I might as well be on track with them.
Yes dad, B6 is a vitamin, it hails as an energy booster, but for some reason helps with morning sickness.
You can give the card to Sue. Today I am mama caribou. Better?

Yay an update! I have been waiting, haha. I also took a B complex once a day in the first trimester, it helped a lot. I wasn't nautious enough to need unisom but I hear that works wonders. Glad everything is going well!

So you miss the creepy one eh? I must admit I kind of do too, I enjoyed coming to my blog on Wednesdays and seeing how more or less creepy my baby was that week. And of course, watching it revolve around kind of disturbingly.

once they have hands & feet they don't look so creepy & polywog- looking. I didn't mind the other one either.

Congratulations! It's always so nerve-wracking to hear that first heartbeat. Heck, I'm always anxious to hear it. And you never know, maybe you'll deliver a little early and you'll still get the cool birthday.
p.s. I will also sing the praises of B6 and unisom. I didn't use it this time, but it was a lifesaver with Annabel.

Good to hear that so many people are savvy to the little mix. Good stuff.
I am looking forward to graduating from the 12 week hump. Eating five meals a day gets old. That is not a complaint!

Yay creepy Baby Pugh!!!

Love B

So I take it that B thinks this one is a boy? I think that is my guess as well. So cute! Oh, I'm going to tell him(or her) that his aunt Bronwyn thought he(or she) was creepy, poor little thing! Haha! JK.

Well Hales, "according to Nancy Drew" girls can be named George. I actually can't shake the feeling that it's a girl. That was just the only name I knew that was being considered. Hehe, and the only reason I called it creepy was because Em took it down because she thought it was creepy. I love seeing the progress it's making from Beluga whale to cutest little human being ever. It still has a ways to go to be considered cute, but I still like watching Baby Pugh grow up.

Haha, ok that makes sense. I think the creepiest part of it at this stage is how freakishly long it's legs are! Look at those things!

Emily said...

The legs have been spindly and creepy for a few weeks now, I think the creepiest edition of the week has to be the new face on baby George. If it comes out like that, I'm putting him back!

HAHA!!!!

Personally I find both of them a bit creepy!

Don't you even think of putting Georgie Porgie back. I am the only one that can call him that, since it is my name and that gives me licence. Kissed the girls and made them cry. You gonna rethink the name George??? kisses.....
