I know Cath, I swear I almost wet my pants.
I see I finally found something that got you to comment on my blog heh heh......

That's you up there isn't it B?
It's ok, since you aren't a giant Radiohead fan. Even though Jonny, Thom and I may have lost you forever, I'm going to have to say, IT WAS WORTH IT!!!!

Yeah, that was me. I find Radiohead soothing, but not must listen to. I don't know what to think. You may have lost me forever, but I'm glad you enjoyed it.

What is weird is that I don't think of Radiohead as "soothing" a few songs of course, but typically, it does not sooth me at all. I think I love it so much that it makes me amped. I am always thinking, "that killer line is coming up!" or "here comes that note." Bew-wew, and -I'm amped. It just struck me weird that you used the term soothing, but I suppose it is to some people.
Maybe I am just old and don't rock like I used to.

You and Matt listen to music the same don't you? You and Matt and Cath it seems, from what I know. That's what Matt does to every song on the planet, whereas I don't really pay attention to lyrics or music, just how it makes me feel. There are a lot of exceptions to this rule though.

I am trying to get in your head and think of what it's like to listen to music without paying attention to music and words and it is weird, and kind of lame to tell you the truth. But it wouldn't be lame to you, cause that is how you work.
I don't think that there is any way then that you could appreciate Radiohead. It's all about the other stuff with them, that is why it appeals so much to me. They are such geniuses at structuring a song it continues to blow my mind. In fact, I don't think they have an equal when it comes to structure, at least not in their genre. Some jazz and classical music for sure has amazing song structure. I don't know how they do it, but their lyrics are smart without being pretentious, political without being preachy and just interesting. Their music itself? Well it just keeps me listening again and again and again. They can do no wrong.

Except for Pull/Polk Revolving Doors.
